If you’re looking for a fresh, feel-good lunch spot in Owensboro, Gene’s Health Food never disappoints. Today’s lineup was one of my absolute favorites, a roasted beet salad layered with arugula, tender roast beets, crisp apple slices, candied pecans, feta cheese, and a perfectly balanced orange vinaigrette. Every bite had that mix of sweet, savory, and fresh that just works. I paired it with their very veggie wrap loaded with fresh vegetables, hummus, and avocado, simple, clean, and so satisfying, and the olive oil with shallot aïoli on the side took it to another level for dipping. And let’s talk about the Green Goddess… spinach, cucumber, avocado, apple, lemon juice, local honey, and alkaline H2O. It’s refreshing, energizing, and exactly what your body thanks you for later. I love walking into Gene's and smelling all the rich, spicy smells of herbs. They have a wide variety of health foods, vitamins and supplements. They also prepare healthy foods (like wraps, sandwiches and salads)coffees and smoothies that are amazing!

Healthy food ONLY. Freshprepared and served. Also have Huge stock of healthy snacks and food. Gen's garden salad is ultimate. They have good catering business in town.

Never disappointed! Always frash, flavorful and delicious. My go to is the Super Spouter with lettuce & tomato but theyre taco specials are always satisfying too! Best part is the pressed-juiced by the front in the refrigerated section where there are additional sides and sweet treats!
